Carpenter - Stockton Mine 10414
Bathurst Resources is New Zealand’s largest specialist coal mining company. The Stockton Opencast Mine is located close to the coast on a plateau in the Buller coalfield, 35 km north of Westport. This is one of New Zealand’s largest mines with a long history of coal production and produces high value coal for export to the world’s leading steel makers.
Our Stockton team are seeking a trade-qualified Carpenter to provide building maintenance and plant repair services across our site and facilities. This versatile role involves a broad range of general handyman duties, including but not limited to;
- Carpentry,
- Painting,
- Basic plumbing,
- Water systems and pumps,
- Servicing air conditioning units.
We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic problem-solver who takes pride in their workmanship and is willing to apply their skills across multiple disciplines to keep our infrastructure running efficiently.
This is a permanent day-shift position offering a stable 9 day fortnight working 10 hour days. If you can work in a small team and are a motivated professional with a "can-do" attitude looking for long-term stability then this role may be what you are looking for.
