- Provide geotechnical advice and recommendations to operational, project and leadership teams across Bathurst's mining and resource development activities.
- Conduct geotechnical investigations, inspections and assessments relating to pit slopes, highwalls, embankments, landforms and rehabilitation areas.
- Complete slope stability assessments, geotechnical modelling and engineering analysis to support safe and efficient mine planning.
- Develop and review geotechnical designs, technical reports, risk assessments, Trigger Action Response Plans (TARPs) and management plans.
- Monitor and interpret geotechnical monitoring data and recommend appropriate mitigation measures where required. Periodically inspect mine sites for slope stability and geotechnical risks.
- Support mine closure and rehabilitation activities through guidance and assessment of landform designs, risk assessment and long-term stability planning.
- Manage and review the work of external consultants and contractors, ensuring technical outputs meet project requirements and Bathurst standards.
